Infinite blue.

Things like these start very simple. First, I had a dream. It was 2010. It was a very vivid dream of the cube that has led me to save it via Mensur Score’s illustration in 2013. It was a release called Blockfield. 11 years after, the cube lives, evolves, and narrates (Traveling stone, Cocoon), traveling along my side. And with time, "Infinite Blue" came to being to tell the most important story about it. Why is the cube a perfect shape? A perfect monolith of humanity?

The shape itself has been boggling Salvador Dali (corpus hypercubus) with finding meaning in 4d, and being inspired by Juan de Herrera, who, obsessed with explaining cube's role in the realm we know, wrote Discussion of the Cubic Form. Juan tells us about his notable knowledge about geometry and mathematics. MC Escher created models of impossible cubes in his own interpretation of the dimension breaker. But to understand the cube we need to go to Da Vinci, who sorted a model of a Vitruvian man based on the notes from the Roman Architect Vitruvius. Da Vinci solidified the idea that putting a man into a cube and a circle will explain that the man is one with the universe.

All of these people have that “fractal urge” in common, that there is a cosmic rule which has geometric explanation of everything we know. If it mirrors the explanation of our understandable perception, hence the mirror for its surface, it is mirroring everything we are understanding and not understanding in front of our noses. Our adopted monolith does the same, hence the smartphones and selfies and cameras that, any way pointed, mirrors the reality as a carrier of things we can and cannot grasp. The technological singularity carries the parallel further, as Stanley Kubrick nailed the pocket Hal9000, which helps our daily lives as brain extension, extruding monkey’s capabilities. If we try to reach even further, we can romanticize a same waypoint and say that this means a third entity is imminent, as we hurl towards artificial intelligence, to join or part ways.

With all these coincidences, we are entering a new odyssey with billions of small monoliths living in cubes on circles, as the tech singularity stacks into a silicate sandwich, which kind of nails all of the dimensions from our previous great thinkers. It starts with quantum today. From Vitruvian to Apega, between Juan and Turing, a music and art was always a descriptive medium between science and vision, and my life goal is for music and visuals to deliver this thesis and leave a mark. One that will open your mind towards new frontiers of freedom. An object is a mirror on all six sides, but does it reflect or it is a display on all six axes?
